A Grape Cultivated Through Generations of Dedication
Growing Muscat of Alexandria in Japan was once considered difficult. However, generations of growers overcame numerous challenges through repeated experimentation and the development of improved cultivation techniques. The introduction of glass greenhouses, combined with the Seto Inland Sea region’s warm climate, abundant sunshine, and relatively low rainfall, created ideal conditions for cultivation.
Growers have continued to research and refine their methods, building on the efforts of their predecessors to establish Okayama as Japan’s leading production area for this distinguished grape.
